the nurse is more ugle and less valuable. She also doesnt bathe as much. Lady capulet smells like dandylions, is humorous, and is a lot taller.
The dramatic purpose of the nurse entering in this scene is to let you know that Lady Capulet was on her way to see Juliet.
The Nurse foils the character of Juliet's mother, Lady Capulet. As her mother, Lady Capulet should know everything that there is about her daughter; she should know how old she is and her innermost feelings. However, Lady Capulet knows neither. Early on in Act 1, Lady Capulet is unsure of Juliet's age and the Nurse has an extended speech in which she explains to Juliet's mother how she knows how old Juliet is better than her mother does. Additionally, throughout the play, it is the Nurse that Juliet goes to for advice and assistance, not her mother.
For an example of Dramatic Foil in Romeo & Juliet, the character Tybalt can be refered to as a Dramatic Foil for Benvolio. Through Tybalt's pugnacious attitude, we see the peaceful manner of Benvolio. lady Capulet is a foli of the nurse and she's a flat character.
told her what day and that it will be a small gathering
Lord Capulet is Juliet's father, Lady Capulet is Juliet's mother and Lord Capulet's wife, Tybalt is Juliet's cousin and Lady Capulet's nephew, Nurse is Juliet's, well, nurse (as well as a good friend to her), Samson, Gregory, and Peter are all serving men of the Capulets. :)
Its dramatic irony. Lady Capulet thinks one thing and we know the truth.
Lady Capulet is Juliets mother BUT the nurse brought Juliet up. Juliet was raised in Italy in the house of Lord and Lady Capulet, her parents. But largely by her Nurse and servant Angelica.
The nurse told Juliet that her mother needed her. When Juliet left, Romeo asked "Who's her mother?". The nurse responded that Juliet's mother was Lady Capulet.
