If we have to lift a heavy massive object to a height if we raise it in the vertical direction then the energy that has to be given is to be provided with greater force of course for a shorter distance.

So by using an inclined plane we can reduce the force in an easy bearable way, of course, with the greater distance. THat is why we prefer inclined plane

Inclined planes work by increasing the distance a load must be moved, but decreasing the force necessary to move the load. The same work is done in any case.

An example is pushing a couch up the platform of a moving van. A few people could probably heave the couch up into the van, although it would be difficult; the better solution is to have two people use the ramp to the van (a classic inclined plane) to lift the couch.

By increasing the distance that the load moves, the force necessary to move the load decreases. For example, a 100-lb weight lifted straight up to a resting position three feet above the floor requires the lifter to lift all 100 lbs. For a six-foot plane, twice the length of the original distance, the lifter only has to exert 50 lbs of force. If the inclined plane was 12 feet, four times the length of the original distance, the lifter would only have to exert 25 lbs. Note, though, that this is assuming a frictionless plane, which is highly theoretical as friction is unavoidable.

The force of gravity, split into component forces

The reason that inclined planes allow us to reduce the force necessary to move items is because the work required to do both (Work = Force x Distance) is the same. When pushing up an inclined plane, the pusher only has to counteract the component of gravity that wants to slide the object back down the plane, instead of fighting against the entire force of gravity. Using an inclined plane decreases the force necessary to accomplish the task but increases the distance required for force against the vertical component.

This means that if you increase the distance you can decrease to force and get the same amount of work done using less force and therefore being easier

For inclined planes, it takes longer to go up a ramp then to just go straight up. Because it takes longer, the distance is increased and therefore the force is decreased making work easier.

when a mover is moving people if he didnt have a ramp(inclined plane) at the end of his truck he would have to pick everything up and ou it on his truck but with a ramp(inclined plane) he can just walk everything on to the truck.

the steeper the slant, the more work you have to exert over the same distance.

a ramp is a good example of an inclined plane. If you make a ramp that raises 10 feet over a 10 foot distance (45 degree angle) it will be harder to climb then if you rise the same 10 feet over 100 foot distance. In the second example it'll be little more work then walking 100 feet on flat ground.
