In the US, the National Electrical Code (NEC) will allow you to install single phase and three phase systems in the same conduit.

All forms of energy are measured using the same units. The SI unit for energy is the joule (J). However, the unit used by electrical utility companies is the kilowatt hour (kW.h).
Mr. Volta's job was to be an Italian scientist who was the first person to actually invent the electrical battery in 1799 (some say the 1800's though same thing really to me anyway it is said!).
Allesandro Volta made an alternating stack of silver coins and leather discs soaked in a strong salt solution to make a battery of cells. It is known as Volta's pile. You can do the same today using coins and kitchen paper and you can generate enough electrical current to make a Light emitting diode (LED)glow.
Alessandro Giuseppe Antonio Anastasio Volta (18 February 1745 - 5 March 1827) was an Italian physicist known especially for the development of the first electric cell in 1800. In 1774 he became a professor of physics at the Royal School in Como. A year later, he improved and popularized the electrophorus, a device that produces a static electric charge. His promotion of it was so extensive that he is often credited with its invention, even though a machine operating in the same principle was described in 1762 by Swedish professor Johan Wilcke. In 1776-77 Volta studied the chemistry of gases. He discovered methane by collecting the gas from marshes. He devised experiments such as the ignition of methane by an electric spark in a closed vessel. Volta also studied what we now call electrical capacitance, developing separate means to study both electrical potential (V) and charge (Q), and discovering that for a given object they are proportional. This may be called Volta's Law of capacitance, and likely for this work the unit of electrical potential has been named the Volt. In 1779 he became professor of experimental physics at the University of Pavia, a chair he occupied for almost 25 years. In 1794, Volta married Teresa Peregrini, with whom he raised three sons, Giovanni, Flaminio and Zanino.

Anne and Cathy Cassidy share the same surname because they are both part of the Cassidy family. It is not uncommon for individuals within the same family to have the same surname.
I am unsure of what your question means, but here goes . . . For example, the unit of electrical current is the Ampere, or just Amp. The unit of electrical resistance is the Ohm. (rhymes with 'home') By the same token, the unit of electromotive force (or EMF) is the Volt. All three units are capitalized because they are real peoples' names. (Ampere, Ohm, and Volta).

If you're asking what a surname is, it is one's last same. For example, John Doe's surname would be Doe.
