Radio waves. A section of the frequency spectrum is reserved for Broadcast Television.
Television signals are transmitted in the VHF (Very High Frequency) range using frequencies from 54 Mhz to 216 Mhz with a section in the middle (88 to 108 Mhz) assigned for FM radio broadcasts. The VHF frequencies were used to accommodate the wide bandwidth needed for the analog video and audio signals. Each broadcasting channel was alloted a 5 Mhz range for audio and video and to allow separation from adjacent channels so that they would not interfere with each other.
The US has since switched from analog to digital television broadcasts but is still using the same VHF frequency range.
'In' a television set electromagnetic waves are not used. Inside a television you will find an electronic beam under the influence of a magnetic field and an electric field.
Outside the tv visible light waves are used.
Terrestrial television is broadcast in the part of the UHF radio band lying between 470 and 870 MHz
UHF and VHF frequencies are used for over the air television signals.

sound waves
If the information for television goes through the air, the waves used are electromagnetic waves; specifically of the type called RADIO WAVES.All electromagnetic waves travel at the speed of light when in a vacuum: about 300,000 km/second. In air, the speed is almost the same as in a vacuum.
REMOTES used to control Televisions & Night Vision Camerasmake use of INFRARED light waves.
They most use infa red but they use wireless for the more recent technology.

radio waves learning about this in science class it is actually interesting to tell you the truth
Industries that have longitudinal waves are cell phones, radio stations, television stations, and other industries that use sound waves.
yes so is am fm radio and tv signals
By Internet waves, one would assume you mean WiFi. When talking about WiFi, it does not use electromagnetic waves but instead uses radio waves like your TV or radio does.

When you listen to the radio, watch TV, or cook dinner in a microwave oven, you are using electromagnetic waves. Radio waves, television waves, and microwaves are all types of electromagnetic waves. They differ from each other in wavelength. Wavelength is the distance between one wave crest to the next. For more info, click the link below.

Your landline carries the voice/data on copper wires. A mobile uses radio waves but they are a different frequency from that used to broadcast TV.
