primary end products; maltose, maltotriose, a-dextrins, and some glucose
Glucose
Salivary glands
Starch is digested by ptyalin.
Starch (carbohydrates) is broken down (digested) to maltose by salivary amylase.
When the starch is broken down, or hydrolyzed, the end product is glucose molecules.
Starch! We have amylases to digest them!!
the end product of proteins are amino acids and the end product of starches are simple suggars. thanks i hope i helped.
No, as it's digested starch turns into sugar, but they are different foods.
1.starch is digestable and fibre is non digestable. 2.starch made from pectin and amylopectin and fibre made from many plant components such as imonin etc.
It is starch! I think
is it digested by hormones blood ptyalin or none of these?? if any one know plz tell me
Dextrose is made from corn starch. The starch is digested using enzymes like alpha-amylase and glucoamylase. When it is digested into individual sugar molecules, it is called dextrose.
when starch is digested it gets broken up and turned into glucose (sugar). This happens so it can get to the blood stream as starch is too big as a particle to get through the walls of your veins. As glucose particles are smaller, it easier to get through.
Amylase breaks down starch, and therefore the product of digestion is maltose.
