The external opening is the urethra.
Not really. The urethra is the tube that leads from the bladder. The opening is called the urethral opening.
The penis But the opening itself is the urethra.
The opening of the urethra is the external urethral orifice.
Any passage or opening leading to the interior of the body is known as a meatus. The external opening through which urine passes out of the body is called the urinary meatus.
The urethra lies between the urinary meatus (external opening) and the bladder. The urethra serves as a passage for urine to flow from the bladder to the outside of the body.
The external opening in the female reproductive system is the introitus. The introitus is the opening of the vagina where it meets the outside world.
The urethral opening is where urine is expelled from the body. It serves as the exit point for urine from the urinary bladder to the external environment.
When urine exits the urinary system, it is at the exterior of the body. There is no system "after" the urinary system.
The primary organs of the urinary system are the kidneys and the urinary pathways. This includes both kidneys of course, the ureters and the urethra. The ureters extend from the kidneys and join at the urethra, the urethra then extends to an opening out of the body, in males this is at the end of the penis, in females in the vulva.
The urinary opening is called the same thing no matter what your gender. The urethra is the tube that connects to the outside of the body.
below its urinary opening.
Although the urinary opening -- called the urethra -- is on the end of the penis males and above the vaginal opening in females, the urinary system has nothing whatsoever to do with the reproductive system. If urine has "pus" (which can only be confirm by microscopic lab testing), it generally means there is a urinary infection. A urinary infection does not affect fertility in any way, ever (unless the persons are too tired from the infection to be interested in sex!).
