I have a 1989 sunbird with the 2.0 and under air cleaner on one of the intake runners is casted on there the firing order, not sure if there all like that, but you can start off looking there, if you don't have a Haynes manual.
What's exactly the question is?
Crank sensors are always located on the camshafts. The 1989 Pontiac Sunbird crank sensor is located on the head of the engine towards to end of the camshaft.
Fuel tank.
Remove oil pan
on the right hand side of the block
thermostat is located under radiator cap!
right above the oil filter
The firing for a 1989 is 1 4 6 3 2 5,I hope this help akillera3 Correct firing order is 1-2-3-4-5-6 for the 2.8L & 3.1L V6
