No, not at all. Lady Liberty's tablet has the date on it the constitution was signed: July 4th, 1776. (It's written in Roman Numerals on the tablet, though.) But that has nothing to do with the Christians' 10 commandments.
The ten commandments.
the stone tablet given to moses by GOD were the ten commandments
In the Bible, the first three commandments are about the relationship between people and God, while the remaining seven are about relationships between people. Having the first three on separate tablets symbolizes their significance and the priority of honoring God before addressing interpersonal ethics. It emphasizes the importance of recognizing and respecting the divine authority of God.
In reference to the 10 commandments in the Bible, the first 3 commandments are about God's relationship with the individual (found in Exodus 20). 1. Have no other gods before God. 2. Do not make idols. 3. Do not use the Lord's name in vain.
In Matthew 22:34-40 Jesus condensed the Ten Commandments into two sets:1. "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind"2. "Love your neighbor as yourself".The two kinds are 1) laws pertaining to reverence for God and 2) those pertaining to love and reverence and love for others. If you obeyed both of these commandments then you would obey all Ten Commandments.
== == The Bible does not say how many commandments were on each tablet. Some cultures maintain a tradition that there were four on one and six on the other. The first four commandments are commands on how and why we are to love God. They are longer than the next six commandments on how to we are to love our fellow man. God may have written the first four commandments on how to love Him on one tablet, and the other six on the second tablet, but examples often depicted on wooden plaques in churches tend to have only one side of each tablet in use, which is not true to the biblical record. Exodus 32:15-16 "And Moses turned, and went down from the mount, and the two tables of the testimony were in his hand: the tables were written on both their sides; on the one side and on the other were they written; And the tables were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, graven upon the tables."http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Which_Ten_Commandments_do_the_Christians_follow_the_one_in_Exodus_20_or_Exodus_34_or_Deuteronomy_5 Also please note that the original Hebrew text says there were 613 commandments (The law of Moses).
One tablet with each meal is recommended.
You can adjust the focus for each eye separately.
The first four commandments focus on duties toward God, such as worshiping Him alone and keeping the Sabbath holy. The remaining six commandments address interpersonal relationships and societal behavior, including prohibitions against murder, theft, and lying.
