Ha!!! Ha!!! Ha!!! Some one is having a silly joke with you!!!

Hydrogen oxide is WATER .

The formula for WATER is 'H2O' ; hydrogen and oxygen.

Wordl-wide and Scientificiallym water is WATER. It is NEVER referred to as hydrogen oxide.

However, by its chemical formula it could be described as : -

Hydrogen Oxide

Dihydrogen oxide

Hydrogen Monoxide

Dihydrogen Monoxide.

I think a recent US President came across one of these 'silly' names and thought it was a new and dangerous chemical. When all along it was just 'WATER'.

However, Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) - StructurHydrogen peroxidally 'H-O-O-H' is an oxidising agent
