Lambda = wavelength = 1.0 Angstrom = 1.0 x 10-10 m

f = frequency

c = speed of light (2.9979 x 108 m/s)

*Use the following equation:

c = lambda x f (lambda times f)

*Rearrange the equation for frequency:

f = c / (lambda) (c divided by lambda)

= (2.99798 m/s) / (1.0 x 10-10 m/s)

= [answer]

The question is quite baffling, since there's no such unit of length as the "Armstrong".

I'm going out on a limb here, since you talk about "radiation", and I'm going to assume

that you mean 10.0 Angstrom .

1 Angstrom = 10-10 meter

Frequency = (speed)/(wavelength) = (3 x 108)/(10-9) = 3 x 1017 Hz.

That's 300 million gigahertz !

"x-ray atom" doesn't make any sense. However, the frequency of a photon having that wavelength would be about 1.7 x 1018 Hz.

Divide the speed of the wave by the wavelength, to obtain the frequency. In this case, you should convert the wavelength to meters first.

Exactly as you would calculate the frequency of any other wave

whose wavelength you're given and whose speed you know.

Frequency = speed/wavelength

Frequency = (speed) / (wavelength) = (3 x 108) / (0.107) = 2.804 x 109 = 2.804 GHz (rounded)

The Angstrom unit is most suitable for describing a measurement of what?

An Angstrom (symbol: Å) is a unit of measure.The Angstrom unit is most suitable for describing a measurement of atomic distance, the the distance between two atoms in a molecule.For example the main gaseous components of air are: 78% Nitrogen (N2), 21%Oxygen (O2) and 1% Argon (Ar).The Angstrom unit is used to measure some of the size attributes of these gases:N2 gas has 2 atoms of Nitrogen, O2 gas has 2 atoms of Oxygen. Argon gas is a single atom.N2 gas has 2 atoms attached with a bond length of 1.09 ÅO2 gas has 2 atoms attached with a bond length of 1.21 ÅN2 gas has a diameter of 3.16 Å *O2 gas has a diameter of 2.96 Å *Ar gas has 1 atom with mean radius of 0.95Å* This is a "gas viscosity kinetic diameter" as N2 and O2 are not spherical.The Angstrom unit is one ten-billionth of a meter.To put the Angstrom size in perspective:1.0 Meter, 1 M0.01 ^10-2 CentiMeter, hundredth, 1/100 M0.001 ^10-3 MilliMeter, thousandth, 1/1,000 M0.000001 ^10-6 MicroMeter, millionth, 1/1,000,000 M (aka. micron)0.000000001 ^10-9 NanoMeter, billionth, 1/1,000,000,000 M0.0000000001 ^10-10 Angstrom 10 billionth, 1/10,000,000,000 M0.000000000001 ^10-12 PicoMeter, trillionth, 1/1,000,000,000,000 MDuncanMiles - Science Writer (original contributor)

What is unit of wavelength?

In SI system, unit of wavelength is meter. Any way meter is a large unit so we use Angstrom and some times nanometer. Angstrom (Ǻ) equals to 10 -10 m and nano metre equals to 10-9 m. The range of wavelength for visible light is from 3700 Ǻ to 7200 Ǻ.

Our eyes can detect radiation of wavelength ranging from 4000 Angstrom to 8000 Angstrom.

What is the frequency of Ne if wavelength 14.160 angstrom?

I assume you are talking about an electromagnetic wave; in this case, divide the speed of light (300,000,000 meters per second) by the wavelength. You must first convert the wavelength to meters (divide Angstrom by 1010).

Is Angstrom a unit for measurement of length?

No all distances are measured in metres. Large distances in multiples of a metre, and small distances in fractions of a metre. Radii of atoms fall between 30 and 300 picometres. A picometre, pm, is 10−12 metres.

What are the standard wavelength values for the colors in VIBGYOR?

An 'Angstrom' is 10-10m. The wavelength of visible light starts from 3800 Angstrom and extends up to 7500 Angstrom. These are the wavelengths to which the human eye responds. The color or wavelength to which our eyes respond readily is 5550 Angstrom (green color). The colors that we identify are different wavelengths of visible light. Not surprisingly, evolution has bestowed us with eyes that respond to the wavelength range in which Sun radiates its energy. The wavelength range of different colors in the visible electromagnetic spectrum is as follows:Violet: 3800 - 4500 AngstromIndigo: 4200 - 4500 AngstromBlue: 4500 - 4950 AngstromGreen: 4950 - 5700 AngstromYellow: 5700 - 5900 AngstromOrange: 5900 - 6200 AngstromRed: 6200 - 7500 Angstromif any other questions mail mevsvvssrao@gmail.combabby.vs@facebook.com
