This is a description for a bank/financial services company branch manager, which I am most familiar with, since I work in financial services industry.

A Branch Manager is responsible for the administration functions and efficient daily operation of a full service branch office, including personnel decisions, operations, lending, product sales, customer service, and security and safety in accordance with the company's objectives and guidelines. That includes, but not limited to following:

  • He/she is also responsible for develops new clients and business.
  • Provides a superior level of customer relations and promotes the sales and service culture through coaching, guidance and staff motivation.
  • Achieves individual and branch sales goals through new business sales, referrals and retention of account relationships.
  • Provides management, leadership, training and supervision
  • Responsible for and delegates day to day operations to the Operations Officer or other branch personnel.
  • Responsible for attaining established company and branch goals and objectives through active participation in sales management and support programs.
  • Participates in community affairs to improve public relations and the company's visibility and to enhance new and existing business opportunities.
  • May perform duties in the absence of the Operations Officer or other such management capacities as directed by the Regional Manager.
