OK, basically there are two types of arrester , namely Direct arrester (Lightning arrester) & indirect lightning arrester (surge arrester).
Direct arrester are copper rod of 5 to 6 feet long used to protect the structure, building, etc. It has pointed shape at the end to make current density at tip maximum and the bottom part is properly grounded.
Indirect lightning arrester are those used in parallel to the equipment to protect them from sharp increase of voltage. It has an gap which make a short circuit path for current to flow to ground when a high voltage is applied or induced across it. For an example, if the lightning falls on the transmission line away from transformer. the heavy current flow through the transmission line to the transformer. If a lightning arrester are not installed in parallel to the transformer, transformer may get burn.
Note here lightning is indirect for transformer.
lightning arrestor prevents overvoltage from reaching the equipment it is protecting on its load side, by shorting to ground,
a damping resistor is used to damp out the oscillation of the overvoltage to zero faster, in order words reduce the overvoltage oscillation
Their purpose is completely different. A wavetrap is placed in series with a line, and is meant to block specific high frequencies (usually used in power line carrier communication schemes - a high frequency signal is injected onto the power line for communication purposes). An arrestor is placed line - to - ground, and its' purpose is to "hold down" the line voltage to safe values, (relatively) regardless of frequency, preventing flash over between conductors or to ground.
This is two terms for the same device. Lightning appears as an electrical surge, just as switching surges do. Arresters are used to mitigate these surges, preventing excessive over voltages.
The trap is "sprung" when it's been set off by an animal. The animal "springs" the trap. It is the same when you "spring" a different kind of trap on a fellow human being.
It is usually called a booby trap.
There is only one reason on why helium is so hard to trap. It is hard to trap because it is air.
Well, they have to trap insects so that they can get energy (food) to survive.
Flies or insects landing in the sticky trap section.
Ace Lightning - 2002 The Trap Is Set 1-2 was released on: USA: 11 September 2002
A J trap is normally tubular and a P trap is brass and does not swivel
Nope
Same thing
If you are worried for Grease Trap or Interceptor Installation, thenThe ACO range of grease traps are the best out of the automatic fat, oil and grease arrestor industry with installation either in ground or underground depending on the sizing of your restaurant or kitchen.
The main difference between Dubstep and trap music is trap music primarily uses the 808 bass while dubstep uses any bass.
A P trap exits horizontal from the back of the toilet and a S trap exits vertical from the bottom of the toilet.
Your citori lightning is worth between 575-1,000 dollars for the grade I lightning in 60%-90% original condition. It will be worth more depending on the grade level.
The browning superposed lightning trap shotgun will command a nice price. If your shotgun is between 60%-90% in its original finish and a good set of bores, you can get between 700-1,000 dollars.
The difference between a gully trap drain and a floor drain is placement. A floor drain is in a floor, a gully trap drain goes on an external wall.
A system call is started with some form of trap-instruction.
The difference between a Venus fly trap and Rafflesia plant is that the Rafflesia plant is bigger than the Venus fly trap plant. The Venus fly trap also doesn't stink. The rafflesia plant does!!!
