14 city to 17 hiway. I was trying to find some information on how to improve gas milage for my 88 wrangler.
Yes. 87 and 88 are the same as long as the factory hardware is still in place.
I believe that is the Dana 35
Not sure but you can go to a Mechanic .
No, they should be very different
as long as both had the same engine then yes.
The 89's were all fuel injected. The 88's were either/or.
88 thru 95 are pretty much the same, but the 6 cyl engine hasn't changed much at all so it should work.
for the 88 it is on the driver side fender under the water overflow
Mine got about 15 city and 19 or 21 on the highway
Put your trans in neutral and move the second ( 4wd) shifter into the desired 4wd mode.
You would have to change the fuel and ignition systems over to a non computer system.
You need to use thicker gasoline! LOL, Kidding. I would say your tank is not baffeled. I would say, make sure it's not SHORTING out. As long as you get a good reading sometime, i'd stick with it. its a floating needle in it my 87 jeep wrangler does the same thing
