40:1
The proper mixture is 40:1 or 3.2 oz oil to 1 US Gallon of gas.
If using an oil other than McCulloch, the ratio is 40:1. Brand Specific McCulloch two cycle oil is 20:1.
The fuel mixture for a Stihl chain saw is gas and oil.

I have model number 60003816 and I run 3oz of oil to 1 galion of gas. Works good but I'm not positive that's what is recommended. The manual for that chainsaw requires a 20:1 mixture of non-McCulloch two-cycle oil. That is 6.4 oz. per gallon of unleaded gasoline regardless of what it says on the oil container.
40:1 40 parts gas to 1 part oil.
Hi, Back when it was manufactured, it called for 16:1. Gas was different back then also. Mixing at 32:1 with a high quality oil should work fine.
1 oil to 40 gas.
I have one & it says on the gas tank 40:1. Although, I have many 2 stroke tools, so I mix everything 32:1 & adjust the carb screws accordingly. That way I only have to have one gas tank on hand with one mixture.
You won't go far wrong using a 40/1 mixture and adjusting if you need to.
If this posting does not get an authoritative answer, I suggest you Google for current distributors of the Timber Bear and e-mail or phone them. The biggest concern I would have with any answer to this question is whether the Timber Bears now on the market have the same requirements as those sold in the mid-90's. Another issue would be what is the oil to mix with the gas - is there a baseline specification or can you use any brand of two cycle chain saw oil - can you go into a Sears or Home Depot and successfully use any of the chain saw oils there as long as you use the mixing ratio prescribed for the McCulloch Timber Bear?
Generally the ratio the oil is blended for. Most are 40:1 or 50:1. Most containers of oil are made to mix with a certain amount of gas.
