There is no single genus for all of them. Dragonflies belong to the suborder Anisoptera, which is then divided into different families, and then into different genera, and finally, different species.

The dragonfly has lots of subspecies, I would recommend looking on Wikipedia, but dragonflies are the species of Anisoptera. Damselflies are Zygoptera.
