COMMERCIAL APPLICATION- NON-ELEVATED- NO CONFINED SPACE- $62.00 HR - SEATTLE WA
Way off. Try roughly $200 an hr. Silica sand runs $60/ton. It costs $60 a ton to dispose of. You go through about a 1/3 a ton an hr. that's $40.
Add on $30 an hr to run a generator if you rent it. Now your at $70. The sand has to be tested to proved it doesn't have any lead in it at disposal time. Another $100. Insurance, shop supplies like hoses, tear offs, tarps, electricity, rent, and then you have to pay someone to do it.
I was really surprised when I ran the hard numbers and came up with $120 an hr just in cost. Then you have to make a profit! 200 is fair. It's crappy work to boot, and dangerous without the right protective equipment.
