Adderall doesn't decay exponentially, so the concept of a half-life can't be applied to it.
From the FDA website... Pharmacokinetics:
ADDERALL® tablets contain d-amphetamine and l-amphetamine salts in the ratio of 3:1. Following administration of a single dose 10 or 30 mg of ADDERALL® to healthy volunteers under fasted conditions, peak plasma concentrations occurred approximately 3 hours post-dose for both d-amphetamine and l- amphetamine. The mean elimination half-life (t1/2) for d-amphetamine was shorter than the t1/2 of the l-isomer (9.77-11 hours vs. 11.5-13.8 hours). The PK parameters (Cmax, AUC0-inf) of d-and l-amphetamine increased approximately three-fold from 10 mg to 30 mg indicating dose-proportional pharmacokinetics.
Based on the above info and the 3:1 ratio of d:l isomers, I’d say 11 hrs.

No way....adderall is broke down immediately in the system where as the extended-release (xr) releases small amounts over a six hour period or so. I have taken both and adderall is alot more effective than xr! For the record, Adderall xr IS Adderall, lol. It has an integrated time release formula, combined with the capsule which supplements the time release. Instant release Adderall tablets have a faster onset, but their half life is significantly reduced from that of the XR. So in other words, technically yes, XRs are less potent according to dosage, but the effects are much shorter. In my personal opinion, 3 extended release Adderall has the equivalent affect of 2 instant releases, give or take a few mgs. If you take one 20mg XR, the kick will be that of a 10mg instant release.
Adderall XR is a slow release form of the drug. Regular adderall takes 10 hours for it to reach it's half life. Adderall XR has two different kinds of beads of the drug in the capsul, one being regular adderall and the other taking longer to absorb. The half life of adderall XR is at the least 10 hours....at the very least. And yes, it shows up on a drug test as an amphetamine. If it came up on a drug test it would be in the same category as meth. Hense the latter part of that word, "meth," - amphetamine! It's legal speed just like methadone is legal herion, essentially. Also another thing to think about....if the half life of a drug is longer than about 12 hours, and you take that drug every day, it builds up in your sytem and will take longer to get out of your system. Because if you take it and is hasn't reached it's half life in your body your just adding to the build up of that drug in your system, therefore increasing the half life.
Yes; there is no known interactions with Adderall XR and Omega 3.
The symptoms of dry mouth will leave after stopping Adderall XR within a day or two. Adderall XR is something that does not stay in your system.
The half life of Adderall is 10 hours. It takes approximately 55 hours to leave your system completely. The half life of Adderall XR would be even longer. You should give yourself four days, just to be safe.
The highest dosage Adderall XR comes in is 30 mg.
Adderall XR lasts longer. The XR stands for extended release and lasts around 8-12 depending on the consumer, mg, & tolerance. Generic Adderall which is actually Adderall IR (Instant Release) only lasts for a few hours (about 4 depending on the mgs) because Adderall XR is made from 2 different "beads" which one type releases automatically n the other type releases in about 4 hours so in the end Adderall xr lasts about 8 - 12 hours. When you pay for the Adderall XR you are paying for the extended release feature. SO Adderall XR lasts longer than Adderall IR.
Yes because Adderall XR stands for Adderall Extended Release. XR lasts longer though because the tiny beads in the XR capsules have sort of like a plastic cover over them which makes them longer to dissolve in your stomach...Its almost like a capsules in a capsule. Hope this answered your question. -Shrimpo
Mm honestly it depends on the persons shape/body. I'm 57ish and 150ish pounds and 1, 25mg adderall lasts about 7-10ish hours.
