Best Answer

A tortoise's ears have no external auricle. They have an ear flap, located behind the animals eyes towards the rear of the head. Tortoise's hearing is different to humans, and less sensitive to high frequency sounds. They can hear lower frequency sounds that are fairly close in range to them.
