What is the history of the submarine Kursk?
November 21, 2007 9:30PM
The Kursk was a large, modern Russian nuclear submarine that was lost in the Barents Sea on August 12, 2000. She went down with all hands. Russia mourned the loss of the boat and her crew, and questions arose as to the reasons for a delay in response to reports she had gone down. As an aside, it is almost a certainty that submarine sailors around the world shared the grief at Kursk's sinking.
