Most people consider human/environment interaction as a rural event, dealing with people, trout streams and forests. The urban environment is just as exciting but lacks somewhat in romance or lyrical aspects.

Weather-wise the urban area is hotter than the surrounding rural areas due to heat trapping by bricks and asphalt - this means there are more desert like conditions and thermal updrafts.

The lack of permeable soil prevents the growth of plants over the tarred or cemented land, but plants learn to work their way into cracks and any loose bit of damp soil like material.

With regard to animals the amount of free food (garbage and draopped food) provided by humans feeds a wide variety of insects, birds and mammals. The close proximity of humans in housing provides homes to insects - both scavengers and bloodsuckers. These lower levels of creatures are a food source to cats, rats, dogs raccoons and other predators.

Humans interact with other humans for diseases either directly (cold, flu or AIDS) or through vectors like fleas, bedbus, lice and mice or rats.
