A diet low in sodium, potassium, and phosphorous, three substances that the kidneys regulate, is critical in managing kidney disease
sodium
kidney failure and disorder
Kidney disease is not related to rare blood type at all. However, eating certain foods or consuming certain beverages may impact your health and cause kidney problems.
This would unfortunately be a long list, and especially depending on the degree of kidney insufficiency, kidney failure or the type of kidney disease. For example, those who tend to develop kidney stones may be told to reduce calcium intake. Probably the most well known diet modification for renal disease is a reduction in sodium/salt intake. However, there is also concern about the build up of other body chemicals and toxins when the kidneys are not doing their jobs of filtering them right. Another example is potassium. Many fruits and vegetables carry high amounts of potassium (bananas, dark green leafy vegetables, melons, potatoes, etc.) and it is critical that potassium levels stay in specific ranges to avoid serious complications with the action of the heart and cardiovascular system. A Nephrologist's (kidney doctor) office should be able to give you a list of the most common foods to avoid or types of foods that need to be limited in the diet depending on the degree and type of kidney disease.
That depends on what type of diet you mean. There are many types of diet. Some diets treat a disease or condition. Other diets are for optimum health. Others diets are for weight loss or weight gain. For example, there is a diabetic diet, diverticulitis diet, irritable bowel diet, Crohn's disease diet, acne diet, autistic diet, epilepsy diet, low carb diet, weight maintainer diet, weight gain diet, anti-Candida diet, food allergy/intolerance rotation diet, elimination diet, hypertension diet, cardiovascular disease diet, kidney disease diet, etc. .
The branch of medicine that is concerned with kidney disease treatment and diagnosis is called nephrology and specialists who treat kidney diseases are called nephrologists. Besides nephrologists, kidney problems may also be treated and managed by urologists, pediatricians, and primary care physicians. There are several kidney problems such as kidney failure, kidney stones, and kidney cancer that may require intervention by a qualified nephrologist. Your treatment will depend on the type of kidney disease you're suffering from.A nephrologist is a physician specializing in the diagnosis and management of kidney disease.
There are several different types of kidney disease. These include inflammation of the filtering parts of the kidney (called glomerulonephritis), polycystic kidney disease, an inherited genetic disorder where the kidney tissues become replaced by cysts, and scarring of the kidney tissues caused by backflow of the urine from the bladder (called reflux nephropathy), which is caused by structural defects. Diabetic kidney disease which damages the kidneys' filtering membranes, and kidney disease due to high blood pressure are other forms of kidney disease
About half the people who have systemic lupus will develop kidney disease. There are 5 types( 6 if you count no disease as a type) and the type is determined by a kidney biopsy. Inflammation in the glomeruli, the little filters in the kidney, prevent the kidneys from catching protein and returning it to the blood stream. Protein in the urine means the glomeruli are not able to do this.
I don't think there is a particular type of diet that's required - to donate a kidney you must already be healthy, which implies that any dietary changes are not necessary. Just a generally 'healty' diet will be fine. And no heavy drinking before surgery :P
Type I Renal Tubular Acidosis
Diabetes type 2
Glomerulonephritis is another name for Bright's disease. It is a type of kidney disease caused by inflammation of the glomeruli that causes red blood cells and proteins to leak into the urine.
The best option if you are diagnosed with kidney cancer is fruit and veg. They are usually filled with antioxidants, which can help fight the disease and are good for the body. They can detox you - as the kidneys are a vital part of your body and are needed to clear out your blood stream, eating things that detox through them can help clear out all the bad bacteria.
