Character Roles
Protagonist
Working class animals If we had to define a protagonist, we would go with the collective working class of animals. Is this legit? Well, there are talking animals here. We get to bend the rules. Besides, they're the ones we sympathize with and, for the most part, we get to go inside their heads (Boxer, and especially Clover).
Antagonist
Those pigs Those pigs are pretty antagonizing, but especially Snowball and Napoleon. They begin as animals, members of the working class under the control of the humans, but quickly step up to a position of leadership after the Rebellion. They just get more antagonist-like after that: stealing food, abusing the animals, and ultimately becoming indistinguishable from the oppressive humans they once fought to overthrow. The pigs are corrupted by the power they seize; they do not begin as antagonists (think old Major - not a dislikable dude!), but rather become antagonists as the story develops.
the conflict for the book animal farm is the struggle between the pigs and the lesser animals. there is also conflict within the pigs at the begging of the takeover. and conflict between human and animals.
The main conflict within Animal Farm is that between Napoleon (and all the pigs) and the more common animals - symbolic of the conflict between Stalin and his men and everyone who he was ruling
The issue in animal farm is the critique that Orwell gives on the idea of communism. He shows that a utopian society is almost near impossible to create. This is due to human nature that we all reflect. He shows that greed and a lust for power takes over, as seen in the pigs. He used pigs in place of the leaders in animal farm because pigs are naturally known to be fat and greedy. As the novel progresses we see the pigs get fatter and fatter because of all they have taken form the other animals.
The main conflict is that Animal farm is always facing internal and external threats.
Mollie has an internal conflict with herself because she doesn't want to work and wishes to be pampered and be above all others as she was when Jones was in charge.
4main conflicts: physical, mental, ideological and personal.
They do not have many resources.
Boxer is an internal conflict as he keeps
Mostly Napoleon Snowball and Old Major.
Napoleon because he was the one who started all the conflicts
there are many such as foot and mouth
dd
Depends on the animal because each farm animal has different types of parasites that could affect it.
Napoleon, the pig leader, is the most corrupt human-like character in "Animal Farm." He manipulates the other animals for his own gain, betraying the principles of the original rebellion against the humans to establish himself as a tyrannical leader. His actions demonstrate the corrupting influence of power.
The first animal to die on the farm (while it's still known as "Manor Farm") is Old Major. The first animal to die after the farm was renamed "Animal Farm" is a sheep in the Battle of the Cowshed.
Well i wouldn't GET a FARM ANIMAL but if i did i would get the cow. they r the best farm animal. =)
