My English teacher always says, "Hook, link, thesis." Having a good thesis statement that's based on the main idea of your research always helps guide your writing. Make sure you have intelligent-sounding wording in your introduction because big words grab attention. And one of my personal tips is reading what you write out loud to make sure it sounds right and that your wording isn't messy.

The introduction to a research report is your opening paragraphs. The first paragraph should introduce the broad topic, inform readers of why the research is being conducted and what specific area you are conducting your research in.
This should be followed by a review of relevant literature in the area of your research to let the reader understand what the history of research is in this area and what previous findings you may be using to justify your own research. It may show differing opinions as well. Tell the reader how your research will add to the current body of knowledge.
Next, state the aims of your research. This will be a more focused and specific idea of what you hope to achieve, as in what you are investigating and why. Then state your hypotheses, what you expect the results to be from the research you are conducting. The hypotheses should follow logically from the literature you have reviewed. Make sure your hypotheses include quantifiable measures.
The ideal structure of a research report generally includes an introduction, literature review, research methodology, results, discussion, and conclusion. The introduction sets the research context and objectives, while the literature review provides a comprehensive overview of relevant studies. The methodology section explains the research design and data collection methods, followed by presenting the results. The discussion section interprets the findings, compares them with previous studies, and highlights their implications. Finally, the conclusion summarizes the main findings and offers recommendations for future research.
