2. Brabant (not the American Belgian draft, but the actual Brabant breed) is considered the heaviest, as they can weigh over 3,000 pounds. They're not quite as tall as the Shire, but are heavier.
However the tallest horse on record is Dr. LeGear, a Percheron gelding that stood 21 hands high.
