Answer: LCM = 280
The Least Common Multiple (LCM) is just the least multiple that they all have in common. One way to find acommon multiple is to multiply them all. But this will not always be your answer.
Note: Italics mean that the number is common to another number. Bold is your answer.

One of the factors is 5, so one way to do this is to keep going on multiples for 8 until you reach a number with a factor of 5 (a number ending in 0 or 5).When you get there, keep doing the multiples of 7 until you either reach it or pass it. In this rare example, the LCM was the product of the three numbers (5*7*8=280). Although this case is rare, it is not unknown, nor is it uncommon. Be warned, the LCM will not always be the product of the numbers. But I suggest you multiply the numbers before you figure up the LCM. The LCM can not be higher then the product. If you multiply first, you know when to stop or if you've gone too far as a result of a minor multiplication or addition error. Just some helpful advice.
"100"
I don't know who said 100, but it's wrong....very wrong. Least common multiple of 5, 7, and 8 is 280.
The LCM of 5, 7 and 8 is 280.
The LCM of the given three numbers is 280
LCM(8, 5, 7) = 280.
It is 280
