The core values of Confucianism are 1. be a 'decent' member of society and behave humanely towards others; 2. Observe the etiquette of daily life and be 'cultured'; 3. be loyal to your superiors and expect loyalty from them in return; 4. respect your parents; 5. act like a 'gentleman' (which often is seen as a summary of the first 4 points) 6.
