Depends on which 9mm. If you mean the M9 pistol in use by the US military, it is listed as having a max EFFECTIVE range of 60 meters- bullet can travel about 960 meters. Other 9mm weapons, such as carbines, would have a longer effective and max range.

If you are reasonably proficient, maybe 50 yards. The bullet is deadly for 200 yards or more but not very accurate.
