A F4 tornado has a maximum speed of 260mph (418 kph). However it should be noted that the wind estimates of the original Fujita scale, which were meant to correlate with damage levels, have been found to be inaccurate. on the new Enhance Fujita scale the top estimated wind speed for an EF4 tornado is 200 mph.

In the worst cases of an F4 tornado, houses may be completely swept away. In this case, however, deciding the rating may be difficult. Houses swept away is the typical type of damage left by an F5 tornado, but may only warrant an F4 rating if the houses were not well-constructed.

On the original Fujita scale the maximum wind speed for an F4 tornado is set at 260 mph. Later, this estimate was considered to be too high to mark the threshold of F4/F5 damage and was revised to 200 mph for the upper limit of an EF4 tornado, though the two produce the same damage.

What is the maximum wind speed for an f4 tornado?

On the original Fujita scale the upper limit of F4 wind speed estimates was 260 mph (418 km/h). Later analysis suggested that this was too high an estimated for the upper limit of F4 damage and was revised to 200 mph (322 km/h) for an EF4 tornado.

How do you find good places for wind turbines?

Wind turbines are normally placed at the bottom of a valley, or a hill that doesn't have trees (trees block and trap wind, reducing the wind speed) at an angle where the speed of wind and the amount of wind are the greatest so to produce the maximum amount of energy.
