Pi is a Greek letter. It is used in mathematics to represent the
number 3.1416.
One may calculate the circumference of a circle by multiplying
the diameter by pi. One may calculate the area of a circle by
multiplying the square of the radius by pi.
Pi is actually a little less than 3.1416, but that's close
enough for most applications.
