In the US, where we live on a twice 12 hour clock display, we have two time areas: AM and PM. Even though we have adapted A.M., which means "ante meridiem" and denotes time between midnight and noon and P.M., which literally means "post meridiem" and denotes time between noon and midnight, the retaining of Latin words is not everyone's forte.
After bouncing ideas back and forth how to put those two time references into an easy understandable format, Michael Phillips, author of "The Digital Dictionary", came up with the following explanation:
AM = after midnight
PM = past midday (12:00 noon)
easy to understand...easy to remember.
these are latin words. a.m. - ante meridiem and p.m. - post meridiem.

am is Latin 'ante meridian' meaning before noon. pm is Latin 'post meridian' meaning after noon.
AM and PM are abbreviations for ante meridiem and post meridiem. These mean before noon and after noon respectively.
Ante Meridian and Post Meridian
PM means at night or at noon
AM is 00:00 to 11:59. PM is 12:00 to 23:59.
PM is an abbreviation for Post meridiem; Latin for after noon. Incidentally, AM stands for Ante meridiem - before noon.
It's neither, 12 noon and 12 midnight are just that although there are a lot of illiterates in positions where they should know better!)
it is pm. when it gets to noon, it is pm
pm mean past miday and am mean after midnight
The letters PM does not mean PM of after 12 o clock,it means PRIVATE MESSAGE
Preventive Maintenance is the meaning of PM.
am moring and pm night
PM means at night or at noon
Pm= Private Messages
pm means to make contact with Private Message
"PM" stands for "private message." It means to send a message directly to someone in a private communication channel, rather than in a public setting like a forum or group chat.
