I suppose this question technically has an answer, but I doubt anyone knows what it is, and I doubt even more that anyone much cares what it is.

There are many, many different enzymes. Some of them are only a little different. Some of them are quite a bit different but still do the same thing because the part that really matters is either the same or similar enough so as to make no difference.

At a rough guess, I'd say that dihydrolipoyl transacetylase (involved in cellular respiration, so basically every cell needs some version of it all the time, as opposed to things like DNA polymerase which is only needed in cell reproduction) is likely the most common.

Why is Rubisco the most abundant protein on earth?

Rubisco is the most abundant protein on earth because it is involved in the process of carbon fixation during photosynthesis in plants, algae, and cyanobacteria. This enzyme is critical for converting carbon dioxide into organic compounds, making it essential for the survival of almost all forms of life on earth. Due to its importance in the global carbon cycle, Rubisco has become highly abundant in the biosphere.
