There is no such thing as "today's shakespeares plays". Shakespeare wrote all of his plays before 1616, since when they have been constantly edited, re-imagined, and performed countless times. But they are the same plays they always were, and in fact are in some ways performed more like they were in Shakespeare's day than they were 100 years ago. The plays are different from each other, of course, and in fact they are much more varied than the output of most modern authors, which are often just variations on a theme. Almost all of Shakespeare's plays are totally different from the others in terms of characters, plot and tone.
