The protein hemoglobin, which carries oxygen in the blood and appears brighter red in the vessels that carry oxygen. In the veins, the hemoglobin has already given up most of its oxygen to the body. Therefore the blood turns a darker red.

When the blood is flowing back to the heart, the blood has already given off its oxygen to the rest of the body which means it contain less oxygen concentration in the blood. and when blood is flowing from the heart to the rest of the body, the blood contains high level of oxygen because they were being given oxygen by the lungs which passes along the heart and the heart pumps it to the rest of the body.
oxygen and carbon dioxide. oxygen is delivered by the blood into the cell and oxygen from the cell is is given to the blood in exchange to be expelled by the lungs.

White blood cells (WBCs) are another infection-fighting component of the blood. White blood cells are given by transfusion only rarely.
The oxygen is given by way of diffusion in the capillary system. Oxygen is not taken actively by the cells. So some oxygen is bound to be there in the deoxygenated blood. You have roughly half the oxygen, that comes back in deoxygenated blood.
