Communication is the process of transferring information from a sender to a receiver with the use of a medium in which the communicated information is understood by both sender and receiver. It is a process that allows organisms to exchange information by several methods.Telecommunications is a general term for a vast array of technologies that send information over distances. Mobile phones, land lines, satellite phones and voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) are all telephony technologies -- just one field of telecommunications. Radio, television and networks are a few more examples of telecommunication.

TDM Stand for Time Division Multiplexing, a type of multiplexing that combines data streams by assigning each stream a different time slot in a set. TDM repeatedly transmits a fixed sequence of time slots over a single transmission channel. Within T-Carrier systems, such as T-1 and T-3, TDM combines Pulse Code Modulated (PCM) streams created for each conversation or data stream. IP telephony is telephony. However, if we look at it, nobody today invests in TDM technologies anymore. Pretty much all the R&D investments are directed towards IP based communications. This is simply because IP enables a lot of things for customers and they derive many benefits that traditional telephony doesn't offer them.
VDN = Vector Directory Numbers. Used in the telephony world to route incoming calls. VDN is basically a virtual extension withot a physical location which is used for routing incoming calls to a call center environment.

High Speed Downlink Shared Channel or H.S.-D.S.CH. is a transport layer channel added to the High Speed Downlink PacketÊAccess (H.S.-D.P.A.) to enhance third generation (3G) mobile telephony communications. This allows networks based on Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (U.M.T.S.) to have higher date speeds and capacity.
Starview is a telecommunications provider that claims to be a leader in mobile telephony and data provision. They also offer broadband and TV packages, wireless boosters and a variety of satellite services.
Global System for Mobile Communications, or GSM, originally described a digital circuit switched network using full duplex voice telephony. It has been upgraded to include data communications and packet transport.
Unified Communications is the merger of instant messaging, telephony, call control, speech recognition, data sharing, video conferencing, and presence information. It allows someone to send a message one way and receive it via another.
