∙ 14y agoArwen's sword is not in the books, but a movie creation. Its name is Hadhafang, supposedly meaning "Throng-cleaver" in Sindarin. Elrond also uses the sword in The Fellowship of the Ringduring the Last Alliance.

Let's start with the book. the sword he has in the start of the book is Narsil, the Sword That Was Broken. It is eventually reforged and is renamed Anduril, the Flame of the West. In the beginning of the movie, his sword is un-named. The sword Elrond brings to him before he takes the Paths of the Dead is Narsil reforged as Anduril.

∙ 9y agoBoromir's sword is not named in the novels. In the movie adaptation, it is a regular hand-and-a-half sword, obviously well made as to befit someone of his status, but not a legendary named blade.
