No, Cedar Point will not be making a new roller coaster in 2011. They will be making a thrill ride called the Windseeker which is not a roller coaster. If you meant later in the future, nobody knows but the park officials.
Cedar Point is not closing. A new roller coaster called GateKeeper was just built in 2013.
No there was no new roller coaster that opened in 2012 at Cedar Point. Dinosaurs Alive opened, Dragster H2O was added, and Disaster Transport and Space Spiral were demolished and removed from the park to make room for GateKeeper which is a new roller coaster that opened in 2013.
Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH has 17 roller coasters. Six Flags Magic Mountain in Los Angeles, CA has 16 and will debut its 17th roller coaster in the summer of 2010. Cedar Point is working on its 18th coaster, but it won't come out before the new one at Six Flags Magic Mountain. That means the record will be shared for a while, but Cedar Point will take it away soon.

People are going to have different opinions on what the best roller coaster is. Most people agree that the best roller coasters are the ones that go the fastest. Kingda Ka is located in New Jersey and reaches 128 mph. The Top Thrill Dragster is located at Cedar Point in Ohio and reaches 120 mph.
The Biggest Roller coaster is at New Jersey called Kingda Ka
I know what the Tallest, Fastest, Steepest, but not longest roller coaster is. I'll just say it anyways, Kingda Ka. This roller coaster does no deserve to be here because all it did was copy off of Cedar Point, (sandusky,Ohio). Six Flags, (New Jersey) just trys to show up Cedar Point and it never works. If i were u i would not invest stocks in six flags and go to Cedar Point. If u want there to be better roller coasters cedar point will build them if they got the money. In my opinion Kingda Ka was only built to beat Cedar Point's Top Thrill Dragster. these are the current record holders: Tallest: Kingda Ka (New Jersey) at 456 feet since 2005 Longest: Steel Dragon (Japan) at 8,133 feet since 2000 Fastest: Kingda Ka again at 128mph since 2005 Steepest: the mumbo jumbo (Flamingo Land Resorts, UK) at 112 degrees since July 4, 2009
If you mean height wise, the second tallest is the Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio. The tallest is Kingda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey.
Cedar point is definatly building something next year. wheather or not it will be big or not is left unknown, but according to Screamscape one of the head people at cedar point announced "the thrill is back next year"...
Kingda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure (Jackson, New Jersey, USA) currently holds the record for tallest steel coaster at 456'. Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point (Sandusky, Ohio, USA) currently is second tallest at 420'.
