The normal operating temperature for a 2008 Ford 6.4L diesel is 190ÊF to 205 F for the engine coolant. The oil temperature can be as high as 242 F.
diesel engines compress the fuel mixture much more than gasoline engines, diesel engines are always fuel injected while gasoline engines have the option of being carbureted, diesel engines usually cost more, diesels produce more power than a comparable gasoline engine, diesel engines have no distributor or spark system, and instead use glow plugs to ignite fuel, and diesel engines can be converted to run on vegetable oil with few modifications.

There is no such engine as a Cummins 2500 Diesel.
Depends greatly on the make and model motor but is around 200 degrees.

HSD is normally used as a fuel for high speed diesel engines operating above 750 r.p.m. i.e. buses, lorries, generating sets, locomotive, pumping sets etc. Gas Turbines requiring distillate fuels normally make use of HSD as fuel. LDO is used for diesel engines, generally of the stationary type operating below 750 r.p.m. There are two grades of HSD, being marketed by Bharat Petroleum. These are HSD normal and Hi-SPEED - a premium branded HSD fuel.
The normal engine operating temperature, for a 3306 Caterpillar diesel engine, is 180 degrees. The engine should not be operated at temperatures above 200 degrees.
That depends on which engine you have. Detroit Diesel, Cummins, and Caterpillar engines were available for that model year.
It will depend upon the conditions. Under normal operating conditions a diesel engine is more efficient than a petrol engine.
Different ships use different fuels according to their needs. Most large cargo ships use bunker fuel which is a form of crude oil. Some ships use diesel fuel. Some modern commercial ships are employing nuclear fuels. Some military ships use diesel for their normal operating engines and for more speed they will use jet fuel for gas turbine engines.
