The word 'clinical' is the adjective form for the noun clinic.

Thank you for answering my question 'Notyouraveragedummy', but I think I'm looking for something else. I'm Greek so I do know the word 'clinic', since it comes "from Greek klinikē medical practice at the sickbed, from feminine of klinikos of a bed, from klinē bed, from klinein to lean, recline". I am looking for an abstract noun meaning more or less 'cold detachment'. Actually, I want the noun that fits the meaning of the adjective 'clinical' as used in 'The Logical Song' (by Supertramp). There doesn't seem to be one from the same root. Any ideas?
