What is the only way to heaven?

Jesus Christ tells us in His Bible that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life and that no man can come to the Father in Heaven except by going through Him. And the really cool thing is - according to The Bible, this is very easy to do. You simply 1. Understand what Jesus did for you, 2. believe fully and completely on this truth, and 3. Rest and trust in Jesus to take you to heaven whenever you die, no matter what you do. In other words, it is a simple, one-time choice followed by a life-long assurance in the power of God to protect and care for your soul. This is basically what the Christian faith teaches. The various denominations may say that there is more to it (good works, sacraments, pilgrimages) and the other religions will either teach a slight variation on the same thing. But it seems to fall down to one big difference. With exception to those religions that believe in reincarnation or no afterlife at all, most religions say you must perform a series of tasks throughout your life to earn your way to heaven whereas the Christian faith teaches that you only need to fully and completely believe and trust in the one true God for salvation and entrance into heaven.
