NO In the movies Tinker Bell is most definitely a female character. During the times though when plays were more common than movies/TV, males would sometimes be casted at Tinker bell due to high and weight restriction's, and strength requirements. This was because they needed the actor to be light/short enough to make "fly" around the stage and the strength to support them while doing this. Even though the character may be casted as a male actor, it is indeed a female character.
Lizzy is the human girl in Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue (2010).
"Tinkerbelling" isn't a word, but Tinkering is :) Tnkering comes from the root to Tinker. Tinker means to make/fix or in other words Tinker means to create so Tinkering means creating.
