Windfall. Originates from law that allowed the collection of wood and fruit that had been blown down resulting in a free supply of food or wood for burning ect. Was particularly important when most land and estate was owned by royalty or lords and the picking of fruit or felling of trees was forbidden, thus when a storm or strong wind blew down a good supply was often refered to as a 'windfall'.
