It does not have a timing belt. The cam is chaindriven.
its an osmobiel engine 307
Should be bolted to the front of the engine. It's driven by a belt.
Easy, take a 1/2" drive breaker bar and insert it into the square 1/2" slot on the back of the alternator bracket and pull. This will loosen the tension on the belt which can then be removed.
check you belt
chain
sometimes they r printed somewhere on hood compartment. If not, they are in the books at any autozone>parts store, find a open one or buy $20 i think
the belt tensioners are on the alternator and the air conditioner. On the alternator, you would have to loosen the 2 bolts that are on the tension bar. On the air conditioner, you would have to loosen the tension bolt and you would also have to loosen a bolt that is behind the air conditioner pulley. You would have to turn the pulley to get the holes to line up to the bolt to loosen.
Also in order to loosen the serpentine belt you have to use a wrench or something and turn on the bottom pulley....easy remove the serpentine belt for the fan area and remove the two bolts that hold the alternator down and unclip the wiring harness
If the pump is full, then it is either the belt is not tight enough or the pump itself has bad bearings in it. Russell
Yup just cut it off!! That's what I did on my 88 Caprice Brougham!!
There is no timing belt on a 305 unless it is an aftermarket belt drive system.
