The fine for smoking or vaping on a flight can range from $2 to $4,000, and by itself is not a jailable offense. However, it can quickly escalate if a person is found to have tampered with a smoke detector, or failed to comply with a crew member's instruction, such as to stop smoking.
U.S. Code § 41706 - Prohibitions against smoking on passenger flights
No smoking plaese.
A cannon, an airplane that's on fire, lots of things.
The compound word 'onboard' is correct when referring to a ship, airplane, train, or any other vehicle.
Yes it's only allowed on some international.
they make you smoke the whole pack in one go.
Yes - there's no danger in smoking on board an airplane, passengers in the early days of commercial aviation were allowed to smoke. The disadvantage being that some air is recirculated, and those non-smoking passengers would be exposed to second-hand smoke. Today that would be totally unacceptable and thus, smoking is prohibited on board aircraft.
NO! Absolutely not! If it's not allowed in the plane why would it be allowed in the bathroom?
There is no legal penalty for smoking.... However it is illegal to sell ciggerettes to minors under the age of 16 this doesnt include hubbly/hookah.
Hi The law defined that smoking was not allowed on airplanes, however there has been a change in the law to allow the smoking of an electronic cigarette, if they advertise it on the aircraft you can smoke this type of device. It works and it not a bad smoke.
Not very long ago smoking was allowed during the flight. It was however not allowed during landing, take off and during refuelling. A no smoking sign was therefore switched on and smoking was only allowed when the captain switched off the sign. Presently, no smoking is allowed in most flights, but the lights are switched on to remind the passengers that smoking is not permitted
You can carry cigarettes (& cigars) on an airplane however there is no smoking allowed on board.
The FAA prohibits smoking on board for any flights in the US. Smoking is also prohibited on international flights. Few (if any) countries still allow smoking on domestic flights. Whether or not the person is a crew member has no relevance.
