Basically, just get the correct symbols on the two pillars that are closest to the closed door first, then you can move the pillars that are closest to the door you came out of, since they shouldn't change any of the other pillars. It may take some moving of the pillars to get the pattern of the changing, but you will easily get the hang of it.
