Estuary

Answer

In some cases such as the nile the mouth that meets the Mediterranean is called the Delta. (There are 3 main types: Arcuate, Bird's Foot and Estuarine)

Estuary, inlet, mouth, or delta.
It depends on the river. If your talking about Nile, Egypt, or Rhone, France. Its called a "Delta". A Delta forms from sediment deposited at the mouth of the river. Some coastal rivers flow into "estuaries", where Fresh and Salt Water mix.\

Hope this Helped. ;)
Possibly, a Tidal Basin.

An alluvial plain; also an Estuary; also a Delta.
the delta

It is more likely to be called an estuary. A river may have a delta, which is a triangular portion of land formed from the deposit of alluvial material at the mouth of the river.
