Girl from Kansas (Dorothy) gets hit in head by debris during tornado and goes into a dream. She dreams she is in the land of "Oz" and tries to get home. Along the way she encounters "munchkins" who tell her to see the Wizard of Oz. She then partakes on a journey down a yellow brick road which leads to Oz. Upon the way she makes friends with a scarecrow, a lion, and a tin man each of whom bring something different to Dorothy's quest.
Upon arriving in Oz, Dorothy is given the task of killing a wicked witch before she can go home. She douses the witch with water from a cauldron which results in the witch melting. Upon return to Oz and her meeting with the wizard Dorothy and her companions learn that the wizard is a cheap hack. He tells her to clap her magic heels together (which she took from a witch) and say "I want to go home." and she will return home.
Then she wakes up back in Kansas and realizes her adventure was a dream.
There is no place like home.
When the Wizard of Oz returns Dorthy to Kansas.....what kind of a question is this?
Yes, however he, in the musical (like the movie `The Wizard Of Oz`, he turns out to be a phoney. He makes appearances and turns out to be the evil one in the plot. Hope I relveal any information! :)
There is a movie called Return to Oz based loosely on some of L Frank Baum's sequels to The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, but it doesn't really follow the plot very well.
The plot of "The Wizard of Oz" reflects the theme of finding inner strength and self-discovery. Dorothy embarks on a journey to find her way back home, facing various challenges along the way. Through her encounters with the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Cowardly Lion, she learns that the qualities she seeks are already within her, emphasizing the idea that true power comes from believing in oneself.
Yes. The wizard of Oz is a musical.
The Wizard was a Hollywood musical. It also could be considered a fantasy, or "movie based on book". It was a record-breaking movie because it was the first movie in color, or at least partly in color. If you've seen the movie, I'm sure you know it starts of in Kansas in black and white and then lands on the rainbow, in (what was then) dazzling color.
Daniel Scott was the producer of The Wizard of OZ
