A 289 (65-67) with single points has a point gap of .014 - .016 Dual point with mechanical advance has a gap of .019 - .021 ( and the 200 cubic inch straight 6 cylinder is .024 to .026 inch )
225 Slant 6? distributor points
The point gap in a 1972 d100 varies. For the 225 slant 6 cylinder the point gap is.017- .023. For the 318cid, 360cid, 400cid and 413cid engines the gap is .014- .019.
What engine and what year?
I forget what the setting was but if you set them with a paper match stick it will be real close.
If your replacing a slant 6 with another slant 6 it will bolt right in.
