The Balloon Pops
A pin pops balloons because the latex (or whatever the balloon is made of) rips letting the air out therfore making the popping sound. The pin makes a rip in the balloon.. ;-)
It takes a certain amount of force to push a pin into a balloon to pop it. When you put the balloon on the pins the weight of the balloon is creating the force pushing on it. When there are many pins this force is shared by the many pins. If the weight of the balloon were 20 milligrams and there were 20 pins, each pin would only be pushing against the balloon with a force of 1 milligram. If it takes 5 milligrams pushing a pin into a balloon to pop it no one pin is pushing that hard. On the other hand if it were resting on three or fewer pins it would pop. [NOTE: I have no idea how much balloons weigh nor how many milligrams of force pressing a pin into a balloon is required to burst it. The numbers given are for illustrative purposes only. ]
The tape acts as reinforcement and prevents the hole from the pin to become a rip that bursts the balloon. Without the tape stuck onto the balloon the needle prick would allow the rubber tension to rip itself apart because of the air pressure stretching the rubber which would be in tension. The tape stops the balloon being able to split and so it doesn't burst. It used to be a kids trick to put 2 pieces of tape on opposite sides of a balloon and then push a long knitting needle right through the balloon without bursting it.
Ive heard from other people that if you tape the area you are gonna poke with the pin, that when removing the pin, it should not pop.
The balloon pops and the water falls out and splashes onto the floor.
it is because of diffusion. diffusion means spreading out from a non-concentrated area to a concentrated area.
because of the nerves in your body
Normally, When you prick a balloon with a needle the hole the pin makes creates a weak point that continues to tear as the pressure inside the balloon attempts to escape. ( I.E. To equalise the pressure inside and outside the balloon ) That is the balloon bursting... The piece of Scotch Tape, however, holds the area around the pinhole together stopping this tearing and preventing the balloon bursting.

because of reflex action by our nervous system
Probably nothing. Cacti don't readily spill their water,
it is our response to a given stimuli. . it is the message sent by our nerves to our brain
The Balloon Pops
A pin works well on an ordinary toy balloon.
A pin is definitely sharper. It has to tack, where a needle is used in sewing and is a bit duller so as not to hurt a person if accidentally pricked.
No. But it is what you think will happen to the expiriment e.g. "I think the balloon will pop when I stick a pin in it." Someone else might have a different hypothesis "I think the balloon will not pop when I stick a pin in it" So basically its what you think will happen, hope that helps!
