What unit is used to measure power?

Power is the rate at which work is done or energy is transmitted, equal to the work done or energy transmitted divided by time, measured in watts.

Give several examples of how radioactive isotopes are useful?

They can be used as convenient paperweights to scare the dangerously uninformed. Beta emitters can be used directly to generate electrical power. (betavoltaics) Alpha and beta and neutron emitters can be used as a heat source. This could be used to generate power, either electrical using thermoelectric or thermodynamic methods, or mechanical power using steam as is done in submarines. Alpha, beta, gamma or neutron emitters can be used for medical diagnostics, particularly when used as chemical markers. fluorine-18 is typically bonded to glucose and used for detecting cancer cells.

What is the difference between wind mills wind generators or wind turbines?

The true difference is use. A wind mill is traditionally used on a farm to power the house where as a wind generator/ turbine is used for electricity on a much higher amount. All of these things are using the power of wind to create electricity/ power for something.

What label is used for power?

Watts measures power. It is abbreviated simply with a W. It is energy used (or work) over time. Thank you. So what does 1 lb = 4.45 N mean using the label used for power? If Watts measures power and is abbreviated with a W and is the label that is used for power, then what is the label used for Work?

Unit of power used mainly in the US?

This depends on the situation. The main power unit used for electric power output is generally the Watt (W), while the main power unit used for mechanical power output is often the horsepower (hp).
