It is a dodgy issue. My wife had a nuclear bones scan in Weybridge Diagnosis Centre under BUPA and we got a bill for £1150! It is now under dispute.
Frankly, nuclear bone scan images are fuzzy and not as good as that of CAT and MRI scans and I am beginning to think they are useless, a waste of time and money.

You should ask your health care provider whether you should have someone with you during a nuclear stress test. The answer will depend on the way that your health care provider plans to cause the stress -- through exercise or medication.

Nuclear cardiac stress test
nuclear missiles. Captain Price
A thallium stress test is a type of nuclear scanning test or myocardial perfusion imaging test. It shows how well blood flows to the heart muscle. The test is usually done along with an exercise stress test on a treadmill or bicycle. When a patient reaches his or her maximum level of exercise, a small amount of radioactive substance called thallium is injected into the bloodstream. It shows where the heart muscle is not getting a normal blood supply.
What does a stress test check for
Thallium is the most common radiopharmaceutical used in nuclear medicine cardiac stress tests. Thallium shows how well blood travels through the heart in an active or stressful environment.
The chemical stress test is used to evaluate the heart.
